Maintenance Manager - Hotel & Leisure

About Role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced, hands-on hotel Maintenance Manager at a stunning hotel in Windsor. 

The maintenance team are wholly responsible for ensuring the hotel and grounds are maintained to an excellent standard to exceed our guests' expectations. As Maintenance Manager, you will drive and improve standards whilst managing and developing the team. We believe it is the people we employ that make the difference to the experience of our guests and that is why we are looking for someone who is ready to go above and beyond in everything they do.

What will I be doing as Maintenance Manager

  • Managing the maintenance of the physical plant, engineering facilities, all electrical and mechanical equipment, kitchen equipment, controls, fire safety systems and the interior and exterior of the hotel.
  • Implementing the preventative maintenance programme and pro-actively planning for capital replacement to ensure continuity of maintenance services.
  • Liaising with the appropriate departments to co-ordinate maintenance activities in bedrooms and public areas.
  • Ensuring compliance withal health and safety regulations and conducting regular safety inspections.
  • Working in a practical capacity whilst leading the team in day-to-day maintenance operations to uphold outstanding standards of service.
  • Completing e-learning modules to improve your skills and aid your development

As Maintenance Manager you will have...

  • Previous hotel experience within a similar style property and in a similar role.
  • Excellent working knowledge of general maintenance and engineering work including electrics, heating/plumbing systems and fire safety systems.
  • Experience of implementing and monitoring health and safety practices and procedures appropriate to the department.
  • Preventative maintenance and project management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage people and situations effectively.
  • Effective organisational skills and be able to implement, work with and monitor systems and procedures ensuring attention to detail at all times.
  • Good IT skills
