About Role

4Leisure are currently recruiting for an Operations manager/Duty manager on behalf of a local sports centre in Amersham. This is a residential centre and sports facility run to help young people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.

This is a full-time permanent position of 37.5 hours per week with a salary of £22,500.

You will need to be available to work a range of shift patterns including evening and weekends.

For this role you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the leisure operations and delivering a high-quality experience for all guests.

Your main duties will include:

  • Leading, training and supervising your team in delivering a safe customer experience
  • Managing resourcing, training and operations of pool plant ensuring regular maintenance tasks are undertaken
  • Working with several teams across the centre to deliver a first-class customer experience
  • Overseeing health and safety of sports centre facilities, ensuring safe working practises and compliance with legislation.
  • Overseeing the recruitment of leisure staff, including training and induction processes
  • Overseeing the organisation of lifeguard training, including NPLQ’s, renewals, competency assessments and maintaining training records.

To be eligible for this role, you will need to be NPLQ qualified as well as having experience working as a duty manager/senior duty manager in a similar facility.

Pool Plant qualification is desirable.
