Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £43,889.60 – £46,397.37 plus benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join a well-established leisure organisation on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and working closely with the Executive Management Team, you will oversee day-to-day financial operations across several leisure sites while delivering high-quality financial reporting and insightful analysis.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to influence decision-making, drive financial performance and ensure regulatory compliance. The position plays a key role in supporting long-term financial sustainability, growth and the delivery of impactful community-facing services.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
• Monitor cash flow, expenditure and overall financial performance
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting standards
• Manage audits and liaise with external auditors and key stakeholders
• Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making

Requirements

• Proven experience in a financial management or similar senior finance role
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or AAT) or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Excellent systems skills, including advanced Excel and Business Intelligence software
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong leadership, people management and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience within a similar sector or fast-paced environment
• Experience using Sage 200 and Sage Payroll
