Marina Operative (Forklift) - Dorset Marina

Are you hands-on, practical, and not afraid of a bit of hard work? We're recruiting for a Dry Stack Operative for a  busy marina in Dorset. This role is a Forklift/Yard Operative, someone who can join the team and help keep boats moving smoothly in and out of storage.
 
About the Role
As a Forklift operative / Dry Stack Operative, your main focus will be operating a large marina forklift to safely move boats between dry stack storage and the water. You'll be fully trained, so prior marina experience isn't necessary—what matters most is a positive attitude and a willingness to work hard.
Your day-to-day will include:

• Operating marina forklifts and lifting equipment (training provided)
• Launching and recovering customer boats
• Assisting customers when they arrive at the marina
• Keeping the yard clean, organised, and safe
• Supporting the team with general yard and customer service tasks
• Maintaining machinery and equipment on a regular basis

During the summer months, the pace can be fast, but it's a rewarding environment where every day is different.
About You
 
We're looking for someone who:

• Is happy working outdoors in all weather
• Stays calm, practical, and safety-focused when operating machinery
• Enjoys hands-on work and being part of a team
• Is friendly and approachable with customers
• Loves learning new skills

Forklift or machinery experience is a bonus but not essential—full training will be provided.
