An exciting opportunity to join a leading marina operator as a Forklift Operator in the beautiful coastal town of Poole! My client operates out of multiple marinas in the UK and abroad, providing premium berthing and boatyard services. They require a dedicated and passionate person to join their team who is focused on delivering superb customer service and operations skills.
  
The main responsibilities of the Forklift Operator are:

• • To carry out checks to ensure the safety and security of vessels, buildings, vehicles and people within the marina site boundaries and completed external lighting checks as required.
  • Organise the berthing of boats to yield maximum occupancy, ensuring that all payments for services are received in accordance with the company’s finance policy.
  • To be responsible for lifting, blocking, pressure washing, towing, mast step and unstep and relaunching of boats.
  • To assist with Dry Stack operations when necessary.
  • Carry out boat lifting operations in accordance with the Company Health & Safety Policy.
  • Complete all daily, weekly and monthly assigned tasks as required.
  • To serve fuel to customers and take all relevant payments via the MDL fuel berths ensuring highest customer service levels at all times.
  • To carry out all fueling operations in accordance with the Company Health & Safety Policy.
  • Complete all daily, weekly and monthly assigned tasks as required.
  • To carry out routine maintenance; ensuring the marina remains safe, secure, clean, tidy and well landscaped at all times and to complete the required safety checks.
  • Ensure familiarity with emergency procedures and deal effectively with any emergency situation.
  • Ensure a quality, professional service is provided in all contact with customers.
  • To ensure all legal, HSE and company policies including financial are being adhered to.

The candidate:

• Some experience in operating a forklift is necessary. Further training can be provided but please do not apply if you have never operated a forklift before.
