Golf Entertainment Manager – Hounslow

Brand new Golf-themed entertainment complex opening in Spring 2022!

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven Operations Manager to help launch Hounslow Golf Park in Spring 2022. We are looking for a customer focused leader with an engaging and outgoing character to bring our venue to life and ensure all visitors have a truly memorable experience. You need to demonstrate a background within a high volume, fast paced leisure or hospitality environment and really enjoy customer contact on a daily basis.

About Hounslow Golf Park

Opening in Spring 2022, Hounslow Golf Park will bring a state-of-the-art golf-themed entertainment facility to south west London and the surrounds. The site will have 36 holes of dinosaur themed adventure golf, 55 premium entertainment driving range bays with augmented reality games, a 9 hole synthetic beginners golf course, and a café. As part of a group of golf venues you will also benefit from the experience and support of the other sites. My client has developed a reputation in the golf industry for pushing the boundaries and thinking differently.

Key Responsibilities of the Golf Entertainment Manager include;

Managing the Team

  • Recruit, train and supervise staff
  • Carry out appraisals and regular check-in chats
  • Manage rotas dynamically to suit pre-booking levels
  • Assess individual development and training opportunities
  • Consistently drive high operational standards
  • Ensure regular and open communication between Reception, Driving Range, café and Adventure Golf

Customer Experience

  • Bring the energy, every day
  • Constantly assess, improve and evolve the customer experience
  • Monitor and assess customer arrival and exit experience
  • Strive to attain desired Google review ratings
  • Resolve any customer complaints in a manner aimed at creating loyal customers

Reception Duties

  • Serving customers and hosting Driving Range Bays when footfall requires
  • Assistance at Adventure Golf when required
  • Phone answering
  • Email inbox management
  • Key holder, opening, closing, and till reconciliation duties

Venue Presentation

  • Regular customer journey walks around the site each day
  • Report and major issues to the Maintenance or General Manager
  • Seek to constantly improve standards of presentation

 Strategy

  • Identify strategies to attract and retain new customers
  • Attend one weekly management meeting and share operational insights to the team
  • Suggest new menu items based on customers feedback and preferences
  • Work with the Management team to develop on-going strategy

Candidate Profile:

  • A background in leisure, hospitality or retail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time-management, organisation, and follow-through
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Self-motivated with high self-awareness and integrity
  • Openly receives feedback and coaching, and reacts accordingly
  • Able to work a variety of shifts to suit the business
