Operations Manager - Southampton area
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a large, multi-faceted leisure centre in the Southampton area, for a full time, permanent Operations Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced leisure professional looking to take on their next challenge.
As an Operations Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of the centre including leading and supporting your team, delivering outstanding customer service to members, ensuring health and safety and compliance and stepping into the role of General Manager when required.
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic, be proactive and a great team leader. You will need to have knowledge of both wet and dry operations as well as the ability to drive revenue and sales in the club.
A minimum of 2 years management experience within the leisure industry is required for this role.
Duties for this role will include:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the centre
- Leading and coaching your team, whilst supporting heads of departments
- Maximising revenue
- Delivering excellent customer service and staff engagement
- Ensuring all health and safety procedures are complied with at all times
This is a big, busy centre with a huge range of facilities and the role is ideal for an existing operations manager or club manager with extensive wet ops experience.
NPLQ and Pool Plant is preferred but not essential. Training provided.
Salary dependent on experience £30-35k
