About Role

The Role (12 month maternity contract)

Reporting to the Fitness Centre Manager, you will be an integral part of the Fitness Centre team. This is a very exciting time at Phyllis Court Club, and you will be joining the team right at the beginning of the journey. We are in a soft launch period so you will be part of the decision making that will create the standards ensuring the safe and effective use of the facilities and what is offered to the members.

No two days are the same. The need to evolve as we go is part of the appeal of the role. You will need to show initiative and be pro-active when on shift.

Responsibilities

  • Opening and securely closing the facility depending on shift.
  • Conducting individual and group inductions for Members.
  • Completing daily checks when on shift as per the operating procedures.
  • Daily monitoring of equipment and the facilities, cleaning the equipment and reporting any damage or faults.
  • Encouraging utilisation of the facilities to all members.
  • Keeping the booking system for the gym and studio updated.
  • Programming and delivery of studio classes.
  • ETM qualification an advantage along with other studio class qualifications e.g. Les Mills. You will be expected to teach classes on shift.
  • Promotion and marketing of Phyllis Court Club when required. E.g. Potential Members events.
  • Create and monitor fitness programmes for members.
  • Monitoring the pool; testing the quality of the water, regular checks of the area and its users.
  • Wellbeing sessions for members as per the operating procedures.
  • Personal training for members (if qualified).
  • Assisting on the Fitness Centre reception when required.
  • Responsibility for general health & safety requirements in relation to the Fitness Centre and Phyllis Court Club.
  • Ensuring your 1st aid qualification, defibrillator, public liabilities insurance and CPD points are relevant and up to date.
  • To abide by the policies and procedures of Phyllis Court Club.
  • Represent the image of the Club by having a business-like appearance, pleasant and helpful manner and ensuring the high standards always.

The Salary

£18,000 p.a.
