Personal Trainer - Gym Inductions & Group Exercise (Self-Employed / Freelance Opportunity)
Location: London
Pay Rates:
- £21 per 30-minute group gym induction
- £25 per 45-minute group exercise class
- £30 per 45-minute 1-1 gym induction
- £35 per 60-minute personal training session
Hours:
Mondays at 7pm / Circuit Class / 45mins & Tuesdays at 7pm / Yoga Class (can also be a stretching class)/ 45mins & Wednesdays at 6.30pm / Strength & Conditioning / 45mins + ad hoc inductions by appointment

This is a self-employed personal trainer opportunity with recurring monthly group bookings (average of X per month), plus additional ad-hoc appointments and weekly class cover (DAYS / TIMES).
Successful applicants must:
- Be registered as self-employed
- Hold a minimum of £5 million Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Have a valid Level 3 Personal Training qualification
Rent-free PT opportunity - there is no gym rental fee and no requirement to complete unpaid shift hours to deliver personal training sessions on site.
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, motivated and customer-focused Freelance Personal Trainer to deliver gym inductions, 1-1 consultations, group exercise classes and personal training sessions within a premium residential gym environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-employed PT looking to generate additional income, build a sustainable client base, and increase personal training revenue through consistent induction bookings and member engagement.
You will primarily deliver:
- Small group gym inductions
- 1-1 gym induction sessions with consultation and taster PT
- Weekly group exercise classes
- Ongoing personal training sessions
- Upselling PT services to new members
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive group gym inductions across gym floor, studio and leisure facilities
- Provide in-depth demonstrations of cardiovascular machines, resistance equipment, free weights and functional training equipment
- Conduct 1-1 inductions including fitness consultation, goal setting and PT taster sessions
- Lead engaging, results-driven group exercise classes suitable for mixed fitness levels
- Deliver tailored, programme-based personal training sessions aligned to client goals
- Promote and upsell personal training packages to support business growth
- Ensure strict adherence to health & safety procedures, gym rules and risk awareness protocols
- Manage appointment attendance and session administration via our booking platform
- Maintain professional communication with the head office management team
- Provide expert fitness advice, motivation and ongoing support to residential gym members
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a confident, approachable and energetic Level 3 Personal Trainer who:
- Has experience delivering gym inductions, fitness consultations and group training sessions
- Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Provides outstanding customer service within a fitness or leisure environment
- Is highly organised, reliable and self-motivated
- Is confident working independently within a residential or boutique gym setting
- Has proven ability to engage members and convert inductions into PT clients
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- Level 3 Personal Training Certificate (REPs/CIMSPA recognised or equivalent)
- Valid self-employed status
- Minimum £5m Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Availability for weekday evenings and/or weekends
- Experience in delivering group exercise, gym floor training and 1-1 personal training
