Operations Director – South England


Our client is a highly successful and service focused holiday and hospitality operator with a portfolio of operations across the South of England. They recognise that people are fundamental to their success and offer excellent training and career development paths for all employees.


Job Role:

Your role will be to develop and lead a team of General Managers to deliver the operational strategy and provide exceptional service to customers. You will act as an ambassador for the company’s values and empower staff to make decisions to grow their careers.


Main Responsibilities:


  • To influence and engage in the delivery of the units financial and qualitative KPI’s, leading the parks General Managers and their teams.
  • Role modelling behaviours- vision and values at all times.
  • To establish and execute strategies, to implement and deliver operational initiatives 
  • To ensure that amazing experiences for customers happen consistently, thus needing to influence in the areas such as service and standards.
  • Identifying, nurturing and developing talent within the business units, ensuring succession planning is taking place to limit performance impact and to motivate team.
  • Own the entire operational healthy and safety responsibility


Key Attributes:

You must have extensive senior management and operational experience, therefore having a balanced skill set of operational, commercial as well as strategic capability.  You will need to have a broad knowledge base from ideally the holiday park or hospitality sectors and have proven success of operating on a regional or multi-site level.  In a strong people and performance orientated business the individual will have worked in organisations where culture and values are really important and where achieving strong performance as a result of this is critical.

You must be great at influencing and engaging teams, a strong communicator and leader of people and are responsive to change and making decisions quickly. Proven success in delivering YOY growth within a £10M+ role is vital!
