Sales Support Manager – Surrey

An exciting new leisure and family entertainment company with sites opening across the country are now searching for a Sales Support Manager to work as a key member of their Head Office team.

This Sales Support Manager role is a unique opportunity to build and shape a best in class customer engagement function to drive group sales and provide excellent service and support to customers in the family entertainment sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build an industry leading central sales support function capable of handling hundreds of sales enquiries each week in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Liaising with Marketing team on lead generation campaigns.
  • Lead the central sales function in a professional manner to both internal and external clients, whilst driving enquiry success rates and qualification of both inbound and outbound telephone calls.
  • Lead and coach the central sales team.
  • Ensure all calls / enquiries, both inbound and outbound are handled promptly and professionally.
  • Be proactive and show initiative where possible within role and offer support when required to colleagues and team members.
  • Achieve an annual sales booking revenue target.
  • Support the sales team by gaining as much information as possible on the telephone call to qualify an enquiry. Then passing on the enquiry, using the sales rota system, to the appropriate sales executive.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for new customers as well as responding to reactive enquiries, to actively secure new business and increase revenue opportunities.
  • Liaise regularly with other departments within head office to ensure a customer’s expectations and requirements are met.
  • Ensure all customer files, contracts, communications and other departmental records are kept up-to-date and reported accurately and in accordance to GDPR.
  • Ensure that all sales administration processes are followed by the sales support team.
  • Analyse, interpret and present data from enquiries to key stakeholders
  • Spot enquiry trends and report this back to the Commercial Director when required.
  • Ability to 'think outside the box’ and spot potential opportunities/gaps in the market for the business, taking into account industry press and news.
  • Ensure customers comply with company terms and conditions of their booking
  • Meet all weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting deadlines.

Sales and Support Manager Skills Required

  • A proven background in sales coordination, customer service, telesales and sales administration.
  • Experience in the hospitality, leisure or retail sectors.
  • Strong customer service and support focus
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advance software skills would be an advantage
