Early in 2012, we concluded that our company would benefit from employing a dedicated marketing facilitator to raise awareness of CapitalSpace within our trading areas and to pull together a range of disparate marketing initiatives that were underway. We considered handling the whole recruitment process in house and the use of external consultants. We invited two consultants to pitch for the role and from these we chose Martyn Senior ( 4Leisure Recruitment) in preference to the other party and to dealing with the matter ourselves. Martyn showed a real interest in our project, researched the subject very well and submitted a competitive price. Because this post is a new creation, we needed guidance about the expertise and range of skills that the job requires. Together with Martyn, we concluded that we should research the market for people at the start of their career, mid point and those who can offer widespread experience.

Martyn produced a list of six candidates for interview from which we selected three to go to the second stage. Martyn attended and took notes at each of the first round of interviews. We decided to test the shortlisted candidates by setting them a project and asking them to present the findings to us. Martyn carried out the entire liaison for this very competently. When the remaining candidates gave their presentations it was clear to us that one in particular matched our expectations very closely. Martyn assisted us from his knowledge of the market place in setting the terms of our offer of employment. Once we had reached this decision Martyn undertook to obtain details of referees and to speak to them. We have now offered the job to the successful candidate and we looking forward to welcoming her on 21 May. Martyn has been thorough and professional throughout the whole process. We would certainly use his services again should the need arise
