What to expect as a 4Leisure Health and Fitness Temp
What does the 4Leisure Temporary team do?
4Leisure Recruitment support the Leisure industry by supplying additional staff as and when different businesses require cover. Placements can be in a range of facilities such as a Leisure Centre, Health Club, Hotel, Residential or Corporate Leisure Clubs. The work on offer at each location could be for an ad hoc day, a week or even 6 months!
What does this mean for you?
When you are registered to work through 4Leisure you’ll be offered work that matches your skill set, qualifications and location. For example, a Lifeguard holding a NPLQ or Pool Responder certificate would be able to work across a number of different pools or a Level 2 or 3 Fitness Instructor/ Personal Trainer is often requested for gym cover. The work on offer is flexible, so you can work one shift a week or five! You can also change how much you work from week to week, fitting in around your schedule.
How do I register?
To register your interest please click here. One of our consultants will then be in contact to speak to you in more detail about the role. From here you’ll then be asked to provide your compliance documents. This will include your Right to Work in the UK, Industry Qualifications and DBS (if applicable). At this point you’ll also be asked to complete a registration form, to detail information such as previous work history and references. The final stage is then an interview to determine your suitability for the position or any others.
What happens once I am registered?
You’ll have access to your online candidate portal to update your availability to work. Your designated consultant at 4Leisure will then communicate to you all work opportunities for you to accept or decline. Once you have accepted a placement you will then receive email confirmation. This confirmation includes all the information required such as address, point of contact on arrival, rate of pay and uniform. The confirmation will also stipulate the key duties expected whilst you are on shift. For example, a Lifeguard may also be asked to assist with sports hall set ups or cleaning the changing rooms whilst off poolside.
How do I prepare for my placements?
Firstly, please read your booking confirmation in full to note all details provided. Uniform is very important to have ready prior to your first day. Before accepting the shift you’ll have already checked your route/ journey time, always leave at least 30minutes early for your first shift. On arrival report to the main reception, introduce yourself and give the name of contact provided on your confirmation.
What is expected of me throughout my shift?
To perform all duties specified for your role, whilst delivering the highest levels of customer service at all times. You may also be asked to assist with other appropriate tasks to support the team. It is important to be pro-active and use your initiative through the shift, this will demonstrate a strong work ethic and leave a positive lasting impression.
How do I get paid?
At the end of each working week you’ll login to your candidate portal and submit your timesheet for the days and hours worked. This timesheet is then sent to the manager that was on your shift for approval. You will then receive payment every Friday for the hours worked in the previous week.
