Supporting national training

With a long and distinguished history of supporting the spa and beauty industry with qualified Spa Therapists, 4Leisure were the obvious choice in late 2019 when this globally recognised skincare brand needed staffing support their prestigious client.

The Remit

Our client, a globally recognised spa and skincare brand were to implement new product training for a large hotel chain. This would require site based level 3 Spa Therapists to complete a residential training course over several weeks. The result was that each of the hotels would have a significantly reduced capacity to deliver services to members and guests and therefore lose revenue.

The Challenge

Good quality Spa Therapists are difficult to find and to source and secure in 16 locations would be challenging, especially for such a short project.

The Solution

There were no clever tricks for this one; just old fashioned graft to create small satellite teams who would move around regions, staying overnight at each site and moving to a new one every couple of days. By doing this, it meant we needed fewer people and could cherry pick the most reliable and professional therapists available. 

Some meticulous rota and resource management would be required to ensure all shifts at all sites could be covered with as few people as possible.

The Result

Almost 900 hours delivered with minimal additional spend by the client.
