General Manager - Basingstoke

A fantastic General Manager opportunity now exists in Basingstoke for this exciting new leisure concept who are part of a well respected and highly successful private group of companies. My client wants to recruit a General Manager who is people focused and a commercial leader who enjoys making decisions and having the autonomy to drive the business forward.

An expanding provider of family entertainment venues is looking for an exceptional General Manager to manage their latest site in Basingstoke. Offering a range of events from Birthday parties and School clubs through to Stag and Hen Dos and Corporate events, this organisation have created an engaging and fun product which the whole family will enjoy.

As the General Manager, you will be tasked with the day-to-day management of all elements to do with the site. This includes Operations, Food & Beverage, Health & Safety, and Finance, with a key focus on driving attendance through different Sales techniques. Using your experience in a similar role within the Leisure sector, you will be expected to develop and engage with your staff, ensure outstanding customer service, and maximise sales, whilst hitting your EBITDA.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications include:

  • Previous experience in a management role in Leisure, Retail or Hospitality
  • Managing a Food & Beverage operation, including a licensed bar, is essential
  • An ability to proactively build relationships with local organisations
  • An excellent track record of hitting and exceeding targets
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and experience implanting them
  • Sound operational management
